REIKIReiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy, an energy which is all around us.
It's that simple, no more no less
The client receives a treatment by lying on a couch, although sitting on a chair can be used as an alternative.
Reiki energy is channelled through the practitioner to the client and a typical treatment takes around 45 minutes.
By placing their hands on or over the body, the Reiki energy flows to where it is needed and can be used to treat most ailments, whether it be mental, emotional, physical or spiritual.
It works on all levels for all things , young or old, animal or plant.
Universal really does mean everything.
Clients report feelings from heat to tingling, to seeing colours and a general feeling of peace and relaxation. Infact, very often the client will drop off to sleep.
The number of sessions required will vary with every client and the presenting problems. However, a typical course of treatment can take around 4 sessions, although there is the occasional one hit wonder.
As well as healing, clients often come just for relaxation.
With soft music and scented candles, an hour of peace just to yourself, with nobody wanting anything, nobody needing anything, with absolutely nothing for you to do but just relax.
A Reiki session has been likened to a good nights sleep.

Overview of Reiki Training
Reiki is taught in three broad levels or degrees.
During Reiki 1, you will be introduced to Reiki; the history of Reiki practice; essential techniques such as grounding and centering; basic instruction on hands on healing and chakras to mention a few. You will also receive the Reiki 1 attunement which will begin your journey into Reiki.Reiki 1 is more focussed on the fundamentals and yourself.
In Reiki 2, you will be introduced to your first three symbols and taught how to use these symbols to intensify your energy flow, protect yourself, facilitate mental and emotional healing as well as achieve distance healing. You will also be taught such techniques as scanning and beaming. You will also receive the Reiki 2 attunement.With Reiki 2 you begin to expand your awareness to those around you and, with the benefit of the Reiki 2 attunement, you are empowered to begin practice as a Reiki practitioner. The Reiki 2 attunement is generally regarded as the minimum requirement for a person to begin practicing as a Reiki practitioner.
Reiki 3 can be split into two levels. The first has become known as Advanced Reiki Training and the second is Master/Teacher level.Here at CET we roll all this into one, so that you will have all the necessary skills required to enhance your effectiveness as a Reiki Practioner but also have the skills required to teach should you want to.You will be taught the master symbol and more advanced techniques.In a sense, Master training consolidates all that you have learned so far.You will be given a further attunement and you will be taught what it means to be a Reiki Master. You will also be taught how to pass attunements for each level.
Taking the step to become a Reiki Master should not be taken lightly.You will know if the time is right and you are ready to take on the potential responsibility that goes with the role.
